Regarding the threat reported late last night involving a Lincoln County High School student, law enforcement has taken the student into custody.

We are continuing to maintain additional security measures across all campuses today. Extra police officers remain on site, monitoring entrances and patrolling throughout the day.

Dear Lincoln County School System Families,

Late yesterday evening, school administration was alerted to a social media threat involving a Lincoln County High School student. School administration notified local law enforcement immediately, and the investigation remains active.

As a precaution, additional law enforcement officers will be on campus, monitoring entrances, and patrolling the campus throughout the day.

We take every threat seriously and remain in direct communication with law enforcement.

It’s amazing to see how our Red Devils engage with new learning experiences every single day.

Our students recently got a fun, nostalgic twist during class time:

Early finishers in Mrs. Wells' class traded screen time for traditional educational magazines. One student joked that he "felt like an old man reading a newspaper!" Another admitted he couldn't remember the last time she read a real, physical magazine.

Sometimes stepping away from the screens and getting back to the basics is the most refreshing way to learn!

Hello LCMS families! Lincoln County Schools is committed to providing safe, inclusive learning environments for all students and staff and are excited to share an important resource with you.

We are implementing the “Say Something Anonymous Reporting System,” provided through Sandy Hook Promise. 

The program educates students (4-12), educators and administrators on how to recognize the signs and signals of individuals who may be at-risk of hurting themselves or others and encourages them to report that behavior through an anonymous reporting system.

The reporting system allows administrators and law enforcement to create effective interventions and help prevent violence, suicide, bullying, self-harm and other forms of threatening behavior.
