Welcome from Mrs. Burt!

Welcome to LCMS! My name is Tonya Burt. I am the Principal at Lincoln County Middle School. Lincolnton is my home. I was born and raised in Lincoln County. I am a 1985 graduate of Lincoln County High School. I feel incredibly blessed to have grown up and to have been able to raise my children right here in our special little town. There is truly no place like Lincolnton. The people here are genuine and caring. I am so proud of our school, faculty, staff, and our students.

As Principal, I am charged with creating an atmosphere that allows everyone to flourish academically and socially. Our motto this year has been “have courage and be kind”. We encourage everyone to be kind and to treat others as you would want to be treated. Our faculty and staff are world class educators and work hard to make sure they are involved in the lives of our students through classroom activities, after school activities, and athletic programs. I am honored and proud to be a part of such an amazing group of people. Our students are hardworking, caring children that strive to keep our school climate positive.

We work together daily to make sure that LCMS is the best possible place for our students. We encourage students to take risks and empower them to stand up as leaders.
